Crowdsourcing Cool: Go X Asks Riders to Design the Future of Our Fleet

Crowdsourcing Cool: Go X Asks Riders to Design the Future of Our Fleet

We're Building New Scooters, E-Bikes, and Dragons – And We Want YOUR Input

Here's something you don't see every day: A mobility company actually asking riders what they want BEFORE building it.

In May 2024, we went straight to our communities in Daytona Beach and Honolulu with a simple question: "What should our next generation of scooters, e-bikes, and Dragon cars actually look like?"

Not what our engineers think is cool. Not what investors want to see. What YOU actually want to ride.

Various Designs of Go X scooters

The Design Revolution Starts with You

We're developing the next generation of Go X vehicles, and instead of hiring expensive design consultants who've never ridden a scooter in their life, we're asking the people who actually use them every day.

On Reddit communities in Daytona Beach and Honolulu, we opened up our design process:

For our new scooters:

  • Bigger wheels for beach riding?
  • Better storage for shopping trips?
  • USB charging ports for phones?
  • Different colors that pop in your city?
  • Seats that are actually comfortable for longer rides?

For our e-bikes:

  • Beach cruiser style or urban speedster?
  • Basket size for groceries vs. sleek design?
  • Fat tires for sand or thin for speed?
  • Classic look or futuristic design?

For the Dragon electric cars:

  • Fun colors that scream vacation?
  • Convertible top for beach days?
  • Storage solutions for beach gear?
  • Sound system for the perfect cruise?

Why Riders Know Better Than Designers

Think about it: Who knows better what a Daytona Beach scooter needs than someone who rides one to the beach every day? Who understands Hawaii's unique terrain better than locals who navigate it daily?

You know:

  • Which intersections need better acceleration
  • What weather conditions we need to design for
  • How much storage you actually need
  • What would make you choose a Go X over walking
  • What features would make tourists go "wow"

Our design team in San Francisco can guess. Or we can just ask you.

Real Feedback, Real Changes

This isn't a marketing stunt. The feedback we got is going directly into our next generation of vehicles:

"Make the scooters more beach-friendly" - Riders in Florida beach towns want scooters that handle sandy paths better

"E-bikes need to look fun, not boring" - Hawaii riders want e-bikes that match the island vibe

"Dragons need to be Instagrammable" - Everyone wants vehicles that look as fun as they are to ride

"Phone mounts are essential" - Navigation is key for tourists exploring new cities

"Better seats for couples" - Date night rides need comfortable seating for two

The Open Design Philosophy

While other companies guard their designs like state secrets, we're putting ours out for community input. Check out our full development process:

What's Next: Your Ideas in Motion

The feedback from Daytona Beach and Honolulu is already shaping our 2025 fleet. We're taking your suggestions from Reddit and turning them into real features:

Next-Gen Scooters - Built for your city's specific needs E-Bikes - Designed for how you actually want to ride Dragon Updates - Making our electric cars even more fun

This is just the beginning. As we expand to new cities, we'll keep asking: What do YOU want to ride?

Join the Design Revolution

Got ideas for making Go X vehicles better? We're listening:

Current Riders: You know what works and what doesn't. Tell us.

Future Riders: What would make you try a Go X for the first time?

Local Businesses: What would make Go X better for your customers?

Cities: What design features would make you love having us around?

The Bottom Line

Every other mobility company designs vehicles and hopes you'll like them. We're asking what you want and then building it.

Revolutionary? Maybe. Common sense? Definitely. The future of how vehicles get designed? We think so.
